Kristin Kreuk is joining the cast of Chuck

chuck-kiristin-kreukKristin Kreuk, who played Lana Lang on Smallville for a number of years, will be coming to Chuck this season for a few episodes.

She’ll be playing the part of Hannah, who will end up working at the Buy More and apparently become Chuck’s love interest.  Should make for an interesting plot line.  Too bad Chuck is still not scheduled to resume until next March…

Chuck is coming back!

It was on the fence for a while, but the news is out that Chuck is coming back this fall for season 3!  It’ll be a shorter season (only 13 episodes instead of 22), but at least it’s not going away.  Now we get to see what Chuck can do with his new kung fu skills.

Full details about the renewal can be found on GMMR.

In awesome Chuck style, there are a ton of crazy plot twists in this one.

Chuck gets an early full-season pickup

NBC must really like Chuck.  They’ve just given the show a “back-nine” order, which means that show will run for the entire 2008-2009 season.

What does this mean for fans of the show?  Woo-hoo!  NBC loves the show.  Hopefully they can continue the great formula that made the show so excellent last season.

Nicole Richie to guest star

Sarah Walker (Yvonne Strahovski) will have a new enemy this fall — Nicole Richie.  Nicole will reportedly guest star in one episode, playing Sarah’s high school nemesis.

I’m not a big fan of shows bringing in celebs just for the publicity, but with a show like Chuck and its revolving cast of enemies, I guess throwing a celeb in there from time to time isn’t a big deal.

No word on which episode she’ll be appearing in.

Some scoop on Season Two

Comedy Centric has revealed a bit of info about season two:

  • Chuck will die twice, but obviously come back to life both times.
  • Sarah will be getting a new job to go with her alias.
  • Guest stars will include Tony Hale (”Arrested Development”), John Larroquette and Michael Clarke Duncan.

For a bit more, here is an interview that E! conducted with Yvonne Strahovski and Zachary Levi about the show:

Chuck comic book coming soon

A comic book based on the TV show “Chuck” is coming soon.  It follows the same basic plot, but gets far more crazy (which hardly seems possible).

Peter Johnson, one of the writers, sums it up by saying:

It’s what would happen if Chuck was a $300 million Hollywood blockbuster.

TV Guide has the first five pages posted, so go take a look for yourself.
